Is this a T-R42?

I've just bought what I thought was a T-R42. I've tried to compare the PCB against the list you have here but I cant seem to find a match.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I think I have the same model, arrived from **** last week, good little box but I cannot get any laptop to recognise it (Win 7, Win 8o Win 8,1), therefore cant root it.

I am a proper newbie to these boxes an without root I cannot get a VPN to run, tried Hola & 1click but no joy

In Spain so need iPlayer etc, any help getting the root would be greatly appreciated...

another clone. i really hope you guys are careful when choose this similar case. a lot of china people begin to use this case, but different pcba board to sell. i have written an post before

seems there is not just these four models, the clone won't get much support, and i really hope you guys can focus on the one which we have supported.

This could be a Bee-Link MK918 Clone. The only difference is WiFi.

No WIFI or Bluetooth on this Clone too!

I have the same pcb the closest rom I have found is

its 1.6ghz but bluetooth and wifi not working reboots if you try to switch them on, may be you should try this one above on your boxes to see if the results are any different. I have emailed the supplier to see if they have any better stock roms for it, im not holding my breath, Il post any roms I get.

I have that exact same box, I was able to get a firmware link from the seller. It seems there's at least three different clones, the seller was able to tell me which one I have by the color of the power adapter socket =D

I tried several custom roms found here, all of them had some issues (no wifi, no bt, no ethernet, no hdmi etc).

The stock firmware runs otherwise fine but it's not rooted and I suspect it's a 720p kernel with no vsync fix.

Here is the stock firmware for HLSX_X6_V10 (red pcb):

Hey thanks for the rom I wasnt able to test it as my device seems to have problems connecting to any TVs and monitors of any description. I tried re-flashing, erasing the nand, even tried mask mode with no joy, I think I have had enough of rockchip! I had a proper T-R42 with a 1.8 chip but that died after 6 months of use it didnt really like being overclocked! so I bite the bullet and bought a Tronsmart S89 Vega -S802 good spec and its got OTA updates coming up, its a pity rockchip dont take TV Boxes seriously because there is a huge market for them potentially.
Im going to give up on this device and sent it back has anyone had issues with refunds from sellers on ailexpress ? I opened a dispute when I received this one because there was no mention on the 3188t on the description so that may help.

If you have a device with this board I would save yourself alot of hassle and sent it back for a refund I wasted weeks looking for roms and kernels there will be little or no support for this board because it hasnt even got a name or model number
