MK908ii / AP6210 lost WiFi and Bluetooth

Hi,

the MK908ii worked fine for 3 months (with both the stock ROM and Finless 1.5a) but after resetting the device this morning I cant turn on the WiFi and Bluetooth connections anymore.

What ROM available on Freaktab can I use to get my WiFi back ?

I already tried latest Tronsmart ROM available on Geeksbuying, Finless KitKat, Finless 1.5a and the new Finless 1.6 (from today).

Not sure this is a coincidence, but I'm having the same problem on th 3 month old MK908ii as well. Happen after I flashed Finless 1.6, wifii stopped working. It would turn on, then turn off after a few minute and never displayed any access points. Tried reflashing Finless 1.5 and different power supplies without success.

Hope this is resolved since its my 2nd stick this year with WiFi issues.

Do you have anything else connected to the device? I've have serious Wi-Fi problems when I plug in the usb receiver for my wireless remote.

I've have serious Wi-Fi problems when I plug in the usb receiver for my wireless remote.

I used a USB dongle for a air mouse connected with both the included extender and a USB hub so the dongle would not be near the stick and cause interference.

Got the stick to connect to the internet with a USB ethernet dongle , but the stick kept rebooting after a few minutes. Have a gut feeling one of the components on the board has been fried and a bit shorted, hence drawing too much power causing the wifi not to work and the reboots. It worked fine prior to updating from Finless 1.5 to 1.6 and one of the overclock 1080p kernels.

Would be grateful to any one who can provide the procedure for any diagnostics to nail done the cause...

Kinda of fed-up with the quality to these RK3188 sticks and considering going to an Amlogic Box or another box more robust components. Any opinions on this ?

Just to make sure, try the stick out without dongle for some time. Even with a 1 meter usb cable between the stick and the receiver my stick has Wi-Fi problems.....

Tried that the first day...

This is my third Tronsmart product that fails since december... (2 air remote and the MK908ii). I contacted them (Geekbuying) via email and they clearly dont care at all.
