Audio and Turn off problems with Minix Neo X7

    Hi,

I have got my X7 a week ago. I bought it from the recommended (by minix) dealer.
I have connected it to my sharp TV with the HDMI cable. I have 2 main problems.

    1. Whenever I start the TV before starting the Minix, it does not give me any sound (tried with XMBC, MX player, Youtube HD etc.). If I turn off and then turn on the TV..there you go...the sound is there. I am sure it is not the TV as I dont have any problem with the set-top box, PC through HDMI etc.

    2. The other problem is with turning off the X7. Whenver I turn off the X7 after a minute or two the device looks like it is turned off (no signal on TV) but the blue light is still on. The blue light never turns off. Now when I try to turn on the next time, it just doesn't turn on (no matter how many seconds I press the power button for). I compulsorily have to unplug the power cable and plug it in. After I plugin the power cable it turns on straight away (don't I need to press the power button?).

Please help. I feel that unpluging the power cable might actually damage the internal parts somehow.

    Thanks,
    Vab

PS: I posted this thread to Minix Forum too. I hope someone can help me with this.

Cant help you with the 2nd one, but I do have your problem 1, even though im on Wassers KK rom.

I started to have this problem after i installed Viper4Audio, it takes a "sleep and wake up" to get back the audio. Though it is only the 3.5mm jack that has this issue, the HDMI sound works. I used SoundAbout to push all Media sound to the 3.5mm jack (Headphone with no Mic), Viper4Audio mustve done something, not sure.

Thanks for the reply. I haven't used the Viper4Audio yet, so not sure about it.
But I learnt in the Minix Forum that the issue might be with the HDMI compatibility.
I later found that my TV is HDMI 1.4 and Minix is 1.4a, I am not sure if that is the problem.

      Thanks
