CS918 ethernet problem

    CS918 ethernet problem

    Hey guys,

    I need your help with this one. I bought an Andoid Box from ****. Specifically the CS918 with RK3188 (http://cgi.****.com/ws/****ISAPI.dll...m=171264947453)

    Its connected to my network via ethernet cable. Everytime I reboot it, I have a different MAC Address for the ethernet card.
    I believe this causes ploblems with XBMC which I made a fresh installation twice. Some addons dont get installed and some repos don't show anything inside them even after I force refresh.

    Is there a way to fix this? Maybe reflashing the firmware or flashing a newer version?

    Any suggestions with be great. Also if there are some guidlines/tutorials around here would be great.

    Random MAC is typical for some kind of this device...
    Which information do you have at the back-side/under your device and at the pcb (motherboard)?
    On this information, it depends if there exist a custom rom (e.g wasser 1.2.4) which support static MAC...

      There no information on the backside of the box.

        Help needed (but I don't know, what's about static MAC... wassers new T-R42 1.25 1080P)
        At "4pda.ru" I found:
        "... B351_V2.0, K-RK3188-V3.5, K-RK3188-V4.2 fit the same firmware. If you are interested in is a custom , the latter from Vasseur 1.2.5 T-R42 with nuclei NEW suit you..." (google translation )

          Thanks. I will try this and hopefully it will fix everything. I'm trying to find a guide on how to flash the rom but I can't find something in the forum. Do you have a guide in handy?

          I tried to flash it from the wasser firmware. I have windows 8.1 and the drivers installed correctly but the tool still doesnt recognize the box. Any ideas?
