          Hi Riley,

I am struggling to downgrade to one of your JB roms from 1.8 KitKat. The problem seems to be when the tablet restarts it doesn't remount properly and the flash tool shows a usb timeout error. Any idea why this might be? When this happens I can flash 1.8 KK again with no problem.

Did you happen to follow the steps outlined in this thread?

Returning to JB from KK has some challenges to overcome with regard to partitions.

BTW, I'm working on a new Jellybean ROM right now. Pipo released an update with some GPS fixes.

Sorry I was missing the erase IDB using kk flash tool step. My bad.

Thanks for the new rom too!

                  new jb by Randy

Hi, it interesting how is going on new image creation.
I have heard from somebody who installed stock , that they had problems with GPS and especially fast battery drain ...

Hey, first of all, thank you very much for your cROM. But here something is really weird and I already have an assumption.

When I flashed this ROM on my M6 Pro 32 GB 3G it first works perfekt, it does first boot, startup assistant etc. Then I wanted to enter the recovery mode with the "reboot" app. But then tab goes blank after restart, also bootscreen shows not the JB 4.2.2. logo but the KK 4.4.2 logo on the loader screen next to the rk3188 logo, why? An mistake in this cROM?

I also tried different other bootloaders, TWRP 2.7.0.0 for M6 Pro from here and the generic CWM from here. Both behave the same, when I shut down the tab, then hold Vol+, ESC and Power, tab starts [I can see when connected to USB, it enters flash mode which I can see with the Flash Tool 1.37] but stays black, no logo, nothing.

                      My assumption:
PiPo changed something on the hardware, because my model was build 03/2014, so really fresh. Or any hints why recovery does not work at all???

Just to be sure, to enter recovery, I shut down the tab, then hold at the same time Vol+, ESC and then power key. Then the bootlogo should show up and I can release power and it should enter CWM/TWRP?

Is there any other way to install root into the stock ROM within the ROM?

The recovery images you are using have the KK kernel embedded. I'm not sure if I added it to the ROM by mistake...but if you flash the generic TWRP that isn't labeled with KK, you should be able to use it.

You might need to flash the ROM again...but instead of going into recovery after the first boot, flash the JB recovery.

The screen is supposed to be black when in flash mode.

There is an app you can use to root the stock fw but I can't remember which one works with Rockchip devices. You might try a Google search for it.

                              Hey guys,

thank you very much for this fast support, Root Genius works fine here!

But to get rid of Kinguser it is pretty ugly, it blocks all other superuser apps from being primary superuser app.

How I got it to work with a different superuser app?

I still cannot enter recovery with hardware keys...

-Loaded SuperSU.zip to an external SD card
-Installed TWRP Manager, started it, granted root
-Installed Link2SD, started it, granted root, uninstalled Kinguser
-Entered TWRP Manager again, rebooted to recovery (which works fine!)
                              -Installed SuperSu.zip from TWRP 1920x1200 rk3188
                              -Rebooted to system

That's it, then you can start SuperSU and make an "normal" installation, done.

This should also work for superuser or any other superuser app out there that comes as zip installer.

Now everything works like a charm, thank you very much! Newest Stock ROM from 20140416

                              Last question:
Does an TWRP M6pro with JB Kernel exist?

                              EDIT:
Yes from now on, abdul just added TWRP for M6pro with JB Kernel.
