Touch Screen Driver
So I got a Timingpower RK3188 from amazon in the hopes of building a mini computer to sit next my computer while I game. I had a Lilliput 669GL sitting around and I figured since the base driver was basically a mouse it should be plug and play...It was, but it wasn't and there was no way to calibrate it. After some tinkering I got the X and Y calibrated but there were dead spots on the edges of the touch screen that were not pressable. I tested it with my windows computer so I know they work if calibrated so I contacted the company that makes the touch controller, Egalax. They were kind enough to provide me with the drivers to be installed into the Kernel as well as an explanation on how to do it and there configuration tool for android. Here's my problem I have no idea how to install the driver, and the stock driver that the android stick uses can't communicate with the Egalax touch control APK. I am completely lost. I have searched this forum as well as few others on a more in-depth way of doing it but with no luck. How do I install drivers into the Kernel and can anyone help me? I am not looking to do anything super crazy, basically a stock rom with that driver plugged into it. Any other information or files needed let me know. -
Not my own area of expertise... but read this thread here http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...s)-with-the-X7

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately it doesn't solve the issue of the calibration tool not working. I contacted Egalax and they sent me a full set of android drivers, calibration tool, and a set of instructions that I have no idea on what to do with. Basically because it isn't using there driver it can't communicate with the touch controller. I am attaching the driver kit. Hopefully someone on this forum can make more sense of it then I can.

Drivers
I think you need to move the drivers to the modules folder. /system/lib/modules/ maybe? You may need to unmount to rw (change permission on the folder to add new files, otherwise it is write protected). Make sure the permissions are reset by remounting it or setting the permissions. I am not sure what the permissions should be, but possibly rw-r--r--.
I have been working on a similar issue with different drivers for something else, but my device is rooted, so I do not know if you need root access to do this.Currently Inactive on Freaktab.com
