So I think my stick has died but I would like to know for sure. I'm pretty much an android noob but I CAN follow how-to's and google my way out of most techy problems and I have put in quite a lot of time trying to figure this out, so far without any luck.
THE PROBLEM:
Device is stuck in what seems like the first half-second of booting, the blue led is on and my TV alternates the message 'no-signal' with a black screen but that's it.
HISTORY:
Device has worked fine for about 2 months, never been flashed but just used with 'out-of-the-box' kernel/rom. Always has been powered by the LG-TV's service usb-port with a decent usb-cable which worked fine up until 4 days ago. Then the device got stuck while loading but it did show the android logo booting screen. Eventually I tried holding the reset button and powering on (DC) which resulted in "The Problem" above.. (at that time i did not know the reset button is not a simple reset button)
WHAT I HAVE TRIED:
- Powering the device from a different source, my phones high quality usb loader in this case
- Tried connecting the device to PC using Neomode's package, apparently it wasn't the right driver because i got an error code
- Deinstalled that driver, downloaded the firmware from the ricomagic website. Rebooted without internet access in disabled driver signature enforcement mode and installed the rikomagic drivers. Windows says the device is now fully functional but I still cant connect. When booting up (holding the mini-button on the stick) the blue led starts to burn, the device gets recognized by windows but RKbatchtool does not recognize it.
- Opened up the stick, did not see anything unusual but then again I probably would not recognize anything unusual anyway. Tried searching for the 6&7 pin trick but I think that's only for the 802II right?
I've added a screenshot with some more information.
So now I have tried basically everything that I could find and understand online. I've had many issues with finding answers to all sorts of problems but never know which of those applied to my specific device. Many of those searched led to this forum and my last hope is to get some help from the awesome people here that put in a lot of time and effort helping this technology forward
