Nextbook Premium 7 SE capacitive - soft keyboard change issue

Seeing as I don't much care for the default soft keyboard on the Next7P12 and do really like the ASK keyboard, I would like very much to change it.

Problem is, every time I click on Settings, Language & input, Default - the system reboots itself. I have installed 5 different keyboards all with the same result.

If I knew which conf file(s) to change, I hopefully could change it manually.

I can only assume all users of this tab are experiencing the same issue and hope that someone knows which conf file I'm looking for.

Have the same problem

I bought the tablet is as follows.

i've same problem on my nextbook 7SE and i think its related to the system itself cuz it happened with the offical rom and bob's rom.

I may be able to fix this but it is going to take one of you guys to use ADB and talk to the tablet from your PC.

Anyone know how to do this?

If you do then do this.

Open ADB and start it talk to the tablet.
type
adb shell
you should get a $ or a # prompt
now type su
You for sure now should have a # prompt

Now go to your keyboard settings BUT dont try to switch it yet! Be at the last point in the menu where your ready to switch it.

At ADB type
logcat -c
now type
logcat

Now back on the tablet switch your keepboard and let it reboot. You ADB screen should fill up with a bunch of information.

Supply a dump of that logcat information and I will look into what the error is.

I need you to clear logcat so it is fresh and empty. (command logcat -c). Then try to switch keyboards and get the dump from that point on. I dont see any debug reports in that dump and that logcat is just WAY too much to figure out as it is from boot.
