I just installed CWM and cleaned the cache partition and dalvik cache. Well, that's what I also did whenever I installed a new kernel or a new ROM on my mobile phone. Maybe you should add this to your installation instructions, too, prahjister.

Antutu score with the 1080p kernel: 10500.

1080p moviez can be played nearly 100% smooth with the latest xbmc gotham nightlies, when you just hit "play" and then don't interact with the device anymore. Well, even then I sometimes see a little stutter once every second. And when I move the mouse or use XBMC's web interface the movie stutters heavily. So I think we need a bit more speed.

I also checked my USB power supply: it's already the most powerful that I've got (2A). The others have only 1A. So for a fully overclocked kernel I don't have the right power supply. But it should be enough for just a little more speed that gives me perfectly smooth 1080p moviez.
My guess: 1080p@CPU:1.4GHz/GPU:500MHz could be a good choice for your default settings in the ROM.
try a better usb cable....it made a world of a difference for me

I hate to keep buggin you about the power cable, but which port do you have the usb coming out of? The standard power miniusb/OTG/Full-sized USB?

      Cheers.

Unfortunately it didn't work for me. I tried 3 different cables (my first one, a thicker one and a shorter one) and I also checked out if it makes a difference to use my PS3 as USB power supply, but none of these made any difference:

1416: stable, antutu 12.2k (ondemand governor)
1512: stable, antutu 12.7k (ondemand governor)
1608: unstable, always freezes just a few seconds after boot with cpu governor=performance, regular freezes with other governors as soon as I start my ssh server app or xbmc, always freezes when calling antutu

However 12.7k are enough to play 1080p smoothly while using the Chorus webserver, checking/chaning settings in the menu and everything. So I stay with 1512 MHz.

edit: One more thing concerning the governors: somehow the ondemand governor gives me a much higher antutu score than the interactive governor, even though this is the opposite of what I expected after reading this explanation of governors. The interactive governor gives me 10.8k@1512 MHz.
However I don't know if xbmc's performance resembles the result of antutu.
