I have same board and flashed with 1.2.5 fw and my wifi speed has slowed right down is there a fix?

I bought a CS-918 that was listed as RK3188/1.8Ghz (I knew it would only be 1.6Ghz). It came and everything works fine, it has K-RK3188-V4.3 board. The board is pretty much the same as the one in the picture on the first post, but the chip in front of the LAN has "MHPC" on it instead of "DGKYD".

I intend to put Ubuntu on it at some point and was aware of cooling problems with Ubuntu, but it gets pretty warm running Android so I thought I d add a heatsink and drill some vents in the top of the case.

I took it apart and found a thin, flat piece of aluminium on top of the CPU (just like the one in the picture in the first post).

I removed it and to my horror, the CPU has "RK-3188 T" printed on it !!

The bit of aly is too thin to be a heat sink so I guess they put it on there to hide that its a 3188T.

But the thing is, CPU-Z, CPU identifier and Antutu report that it has a 1.6Ghz processor and CheckRK3188 says "appears to be a genuine RK3188". It gets 18008 score on Antutu.

As the 3188 T is limited to 1.4Ghz, I m totally confused - why are these apps reporting that its an RK3188 @ 1.6Ghz ? Why does it score so highly on Antutu ?

Is CheckRK3188 supposed to be able to tell the difference between the normal and the T ? Or is it just meant to check its a genuine RK3188 and not a chip made by another company ?

Its almost as if they accidently screen printed the "T" on at the factory, or maybe the manufacturer has overclocked it to 1.6Ghz ?
