I have a ATV-1200 right now.

What are you thinking what to do:

Buy Tronsmart Vega S89 or M8
or wait for the Geniatech ATV-1800

There are 3 models of the ATV1800 and it seems that they all support Dolby digital plus via optical.
I am waiting for this unit.

I agree with you there. Also a thing to consider that if the community on the forum gets behind a product, it gets better and better. The Minix is gaining support on the 8 series and I see a lot of interrest. The logical approach would be to buy the box that the community support and develop for.
