T-R42 II Audio Passthrough doesn't work

Hello everybody,

I have some problems with my new T-R42 II and I hope you guys can help me. My first android TV box was a MyGica ATV 1200 which, at this time, was afaik the only TV box that supported 5.1/DTS. Now I got my much faster T-R42 II but so far I failed to put it to work properly.
It is connected to my AV receiver via HDMI but the audio passthrough just won't work. I tried every possible setting in the Sound Devices Manager (analog, SPDIF Optical, analog&SPDIF Optical, Rockchip-SPDF Passthrough, RK29_RK1000 Passthrough) but nothing helped. I remember the ATV 1200 having a setting HDMI passthrough (or something like that).

Strange enough that I found nothing on the web on that topic as if I were the only one having problems. I'm growing kind of desperate so I would be very thankful for any suggestion you could provide.

I don't wanna say I'm glad to read you've got the same problem but I'm a bit relieved I'm not the only one. This seems to be a very rare condition. On german amazon there is only one guy complaining about passthrough in his review and on the other side are 57 five star ratings. Googling the problem gives me two hits, one to my thread on this board and one I started on a german Android board. Very strange...

Now I contacted distributor for help. I'll let you know what they tell me.

I still got no answer, but I have an idea why our boxes don't work the way they should. Could you please check the bottom of your box and tell me the model name? It should be either B351_BT or only B351.

my version of T-R42 is like this image :



it's version 2.0

my configuration is as follows :

- TV samsung connected at home cinema system sony HT-SF100 (http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/HT-SF100) with optical cable and hdmi
- T-R42 is connected at sony HT-SF100 in hmdi only.

the audio output xbmc (13.0beta3) is configured with : "Number of channels : 5.1"

In the Sound Devices Manager i have choice : "RK29_RK1000 5POINT1 MULTICHANNEL" but i have no sound with lot of lags, if i choice ""RK29_RK1000" i have only 2.1 but no lags.

This is really interesting because I don't have the multichannel option. It's strange that your image at the bottom looks quite different. This is mine:

I suspect that this model type B351_bt is the old T-R42. I only have german links, sorry

It says nothing about 5.1 and at the bottom under "Lieferumfang" they say T-R42 (B351_BT).

On the other hand the T-R42 II:

They say: T-R42 II (B351).

So my thought was that you might have the same problem.

I have selected in the Sound Devices Manager : "Rockship_spdif passthrough" and i have audio passthrough working. The problem is that aac movies speeds up as if the movie is playing at 1.50x. I'm using XBMC (13.0beta3).
(firmware : wasser 1.2.5)
