If I have understood correctly, this will be a mirroring not a S.O. installation.

Windows is IA-32 and x86-64 architecture while X7 uses ARM Cortex-A9, so it's impossible.
Your best bet would then be Linux which is ported to ARM. There's Linux for Minix and even double boot.

Im' asking why Wd live has a Linux distro inside and plays media files much better, even having an hardware much less powerful.

It turns out that those rumors of Microsoft cutting Windows prices to spur adoption were true -- and then some. The company has announced that Windows will be free for hardware makers to use on phones, tablets with screens under nine inches and Internet of Things devices. Suffice it to say that this is a huge move for a tech giant whose operating system licensing is arguably its bread and butter. Microsoft is obviously willing to take a financial hit to compete against Android, Chrome OS and other freely available platforms.

Windows 8 RT is ARM base OS. Last week Microsoft announce that Windows for phone could be free this year, but no date have been mention. Since Windows 8.1 RT is ARM base maybe it will be possible to port to stick. Windows RT depend on Windows store.
