    (MK808B clone) powered hub problem

Hi I just bought a 7 port powered hub (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...9SIA2PY1GA0524). If the hub is powered on and connected, it won't let my MK808B boot. Could it be over powering my MK808B, it seems to work fine if I power it up after it boots. I tried to cover the power contacts on the usb cable but it won't recognize the hub or anything attached to it. Does anyone know how to fix this.

Have you tried both USB slots (OTG and the normal one)?

My hub doesn't seem to work through the otg port, nothing is detected. Connecting something directly to the otg port (like a wireless mouse) works fine.

Right now I'm using the hub without the ac adapter, with only my external hard drive and xbox dongle attached. I wanted to add a wireless keyboard and a usb lan adapter but I'm going to need the hub to be self powered.

        I've got the same issue...
First, Plug it in the host port, but only after you plug the power supply of your tv box and until is begin to start.
It's because the hub power supply have only 1A and is not enough to start well.
        Give news!

Thanks, I added an on/off switch to the powered hub. I'm planning on doing a case mod soon. I'm still waiting for some things I ordered to arrive in the mail, hopefully I'll be done by Friday.

I wonder if we can expect better speeds going by ethernet? I found and watched this video on the subject.

            This was the link
            http://www.****.co.uk/itm/181397573292

It seems rather expensive at £9.98 or $16.85 US Dollar

Has anyone tried a cheaper cloned variety adapter that matches those speeds seen on the video?
