Came back to this SUB forum to look at something Finless posted. In another sub forum he staated the M8 users are screwed, look at my post in the M8 forum. So? I'm here, No post? My turn to scratch head

M8 Amlogic M8 Beelink M8 S802 M8............t

My earlier posts in this section were not so strange. There is a whole bunch of boxes called M8, Yet the M8 square box also called Mbox M8 "Tronsmart M8" at one time by Geek buying, Amlogic M8 S802 M8, does not seem to have its own sub forum thus leaving confusion among some of us. Another individual posted a question asking what the difference is between these boxes, no one bothered to respond. This forum is supposed to be here for all to use, learn and contribute to Yet there appears to be a group of 5 or 6 or 7 who almost seem to write their own hieroglyphics. At the risk of having someone telling me where to go, I have to say in 4 years of using,contributing, learning on XDA developers, I don't remember finding a more obtuse group of people.

I am gone from my house 4 sometimes 5 days a week. When I am home, I want to spend time with my family not spending endless hours wondering which is which and what did he mean when he said "posted in the M8 forum. My wife loves to watch British TV. I thought this would be a perfect medium for her. Came here to learn and understand, yet, I have read most of these sub forums and found confusion and assumptions between people and apparently assumptions that everyone els in the world comes from the planet GLYKpled, and speaks Kongadena! Regardless of our background, if posts can't be for a specific box in a specific area, you will only leave a bad taste in the mouths of Newbies who will most likely take the short path back to something less desirable leaving this wonderful technology to the Sainted few Geeks who seem to resent questions and comments and lord knows there are more than a few curt comments which don't answer but silently say, "GET LOST Dude!"


You see, I have a box labeled M8, not super xxM8 or dipsy doodle M8, just plain M8 square box which does have similar characteristics and chipsets to most of the others. Shares similar code, up to a point, and mostly will have to flash code differently than "The" other one.
OK four or Five, maybe six, have at it,my skins is pretty thick. I don't think you heard me But I could be wrong. I will be flying out to Denver in the morning to oversee a project. Will see what you have conjured up on Saturday.

There only exit allmost two different box types...
Round one and square one (and of cause the minix, but there isn't any confusion possible) (ok and also some new types of the square one) ...
That's the only important think you have to know... and this sub forum, as it's name, is for the knowing square one...
If you have a round one, then you have to look at the beelink or tronsmart sub forum...
Not more, not less...

If you want to complain, then do it to the Chinese...
What do you think, which fun all the rockchip rk3188 users have? There exist so many different devices that most of dev's have stop there work or only work for a very small subset of available devices...
And one of this devices is minix... so if you want to be sure to easy identify your device and get a long time dev and user support, buy a minix device...

It's easy to identify my M8 now! Woke up this morning, turned on TV clicked remote to turn on M8, no dice! Power coming from power cord, M8 gone to permament sleep. tried starting with toothpick unplug/plug... Nope. That makes it just 40 days old before dying....
