Beta Stock firmware and root method for M8 tv box

Thanks. Same here. That must be XBMC Gotham Beta 1. That version doesn't show subtitles, but you probably don't need them . For the rest the M8 works great.

My easy root ZIP does not flash boot or anything like that!
All it does is install superuser.apk, the SU binary in /xbin and /etc/.su/ and setup up the install-recovery script to run SU as a daemon which is required for KK.

It should not brick you in any way!

You just can use the XBMC version which built in M8...

@geekbuying The stock XBMC (Gotham Beta 1) does play the video but does not show subtitles.

so if I side load Frodo then add gothem to square m8 box will this fix most incompatiable issues ?
