    If it's subtitles errors, with the working method just hold down remote button during playback to get access to sub option and disable and apply as default to all movies then try movie with lib enabled only

      So, now I also think it is an isolated problem, maybe also like the DTS HD issues a problem with the A/V-Receiver and/or the used codecs at the movie-files... do you also try the direct way without your A/V-Receiver (maybe without audio but only to have a look at the video problem and the crashes at only using libstagefright) means box via HDMI cable at TV?
      Well, it´s not just "one" movie file...its basically EVERY 1080p file.

      I have 2 more logs with the setting "only enabled libstagefright".

      The first one is opening a 720p tv show file....this works

      The second one is opening a 1080p tv-show file....box crashed at the same point as with the movie file before
      http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=219230

      With amcoded enabled, no problems at all (except the stuttering)...

        So it's looking like a audio problem with dts or pass through issue's

          the combination "libstagefright" and "mediacodec" enabled (amcodec disabled) results in "no videos play at all anymore", not even the 720p.
          As soon as I deactivate the media codec (only enabled libstagefright) the 720p files play again.
          As soon as I activate amcoded together with libstagefright ALL movies play.

          Don´t think it has anything to do with the audio.
          Most of these files are "regular" DTS or DD (no HD Audio) and the AVR recognises the Signal correct and displays DTS or DD as soon as the files play...

                I have these subtitles errors in the logs no matter what....working method and non-working method.
                I did what you suggested, disabled subtitles and apply as default during working method while watching a movie, but I still get the errors in the log like

                1. 21:57:33 T:1843352792 ERROR: CCurlFile::Exists - Failed: Access denied to remote resource(9) for ftp://USER:[email protected]:21/Volume_2/02-Filme/The Sixth Sense/subtitle/

                  21:57:33 T:1843352792 ERROR: CCurlFile::Exists - Failed: Access denied to remote resource(9) for ftp://USER:[email protected]:21/Volume_2/02-Filme/The Sixth Sense/cd1/

                Of course it can´t access the folder "/subtitle/" beneath the movie folder as there are no subtitle folders on my disks at all as I don´t use subtitles...

                however I don´t think this has anything to do with the box crashes while using libstagefright only as I have these errors also when the file plays fine with amcodec enabled.

                I don´t have these errors with tv show files though, only with movie files.

                  did that....passthrough disabled, channels 2.0, everything exactly as in your screenshot...
                  I had the display setting to 1080 60hz anyway already

                  Box still crashes on every 1080p file with "libstagefright" only....720p files still play fine.

                  As soon as amcodec is back enabled, all files play...

                  So the AVR has nothing to do with the problem...

This will delete your XBMC userdata folder so back it up first (necessary step to remove any addons that may be causing your problems).
                      I did that....now with the new installation of xbmc, the only add on which I have activated (beside the ones which come on default) is the "log uploader" add on.

                          Curious about them subs, can you install the addon for xbmc called subscene. As not preinstalled with xbmc

                            did that...played a movie (amcodec enabled) and downloaded some subs during playback...seems to work, subs were displayed right away then during playback.

                            However, I checked the logs afterwards and I still have these errors, however these subtitle errors appear in the log pretty much directly after choosing the video file...seems to be the first action in the log to search for subtitles...no idea why as I have disabled them for all movies...

                              It's like whoever encoded the file it looks directly for forced sub's. Is only that movie that does the sub search

                                nope...tested 3 movies for now, all 3 did that, and they are several years apart from each other (the making of the files that is)....

                                Tv shows don't look for these subs....at least the ones I tested....will do more research tomorrow...
                                thanks again for your help even if it's a bit OT now :-)
