External HD on Android tv: NTFS or FAT32?

I want to se my self powered 100 gig WD external hardrive as a media source for my android tv box.

It had some difficulty recognizing NTFS in some programs like xbmc.

Fat32 is only allowing me to have specific size limit files.

    what should i do?

I have not had a problem formating my external harddrive with NTFS, and using them with any of my Android boxes. XBMC has no problem finding and reading from them.

ntfs, of course. The Fat32 has a 4GB file size limit, which is a joke, for storing hd films. I often use my external HDD (it is a 3.5", 2TB size, WD RED HDD in a Sharkoon USB3 case). Of course, the USB3 is useless in this devices, but with my desktop pc, I can use the extra speed.

do I have to mount it? I am not seeing the drive listed in xbmc but it is listed in mxplayer

It is mounted as soon as you plug it in. It is mounted under /mnt/usb_storage/usb_disk...
