    G910 BT Controller + Vega S89

I received my G910 bT controllers a couple days ago and I'm not all that happy with the way it performs in conjunction with the Vega S89.

The directions that arrived for the controller aren't concise and explain the functions of the controller in an easy to read manner. It took me a while to download the apk mentioned in the directions, that I was only able to find after doing some searches on the internet. Once the controller was set up I noticed a delay. This delay ends it for me as I was having to adjust my game play to anticipate something that was going to happen because it just wasn't fast enough. I hoped that as soon as I pressed a button the function would be carried out imediatly but it wasn't. I'm not sure if it's the controller itself or the Vega.

Now lets talk about the Vega s89... This box is not ready for prime time. The android software implementation is just not good enough and there are clunky things happening all the time. The hardware is great as far as I can tell but it seems like everything could use some optimization on the software end. This thing is a whole lot faster than my old logitech revue but not anymore stable.

I think with refinement and updates this box could be amazing but I can't really say that it will be anytime soon. All of the reviews of this unit are positive but it seems that the reviewers didn't put the system to the test like I have. I hope that future updates arrive soon for both the G910 and the Vega.

    Sorry to hear your problem!

I have talked with G910 factory, they said the amlogic Bluetooth protocol is not the same as rockchip,so they are working hard to improve the G910 firmware, and make it to work better with amlogic device.

Also they will release a new 2.4ghz game controller to fit for all different chip android mini PC.

I tied to play Dead Trigger 2 on the Vega and the input is really slow but when it does receive the input it holds it a lot longer then expected. When it comes to navigating the interface if I press to the right it once it will skip one menu item and go two. Or when i'm in game if I press the trigger to shoot once it will be stuck and empty an entire clip. Moving about in the game is even harder because sometimes it will get stuck or i have to press a direction more than once to get it to go.

Are all these problems issues with the two devices not talking to each other as they should?

I haven't tried to play games on my Nexus 4 and I really have no desire to. I really just wanted it to work for the Vega.

Second question. Does the updated Vega Rom fix any of these BT issues?

From what i am testing, only the Y mode (APP MODE) have problem when connect with Vega, but the X mode and A mode are working well, if you play the dead trigger 2, you can use X or A mode. and then do the key mapping in the game.

        please try again.

I have used X mode and it works OK. But I still have issue with lag. The worst thing is being surrounded by zombies and helpless because the joy pad is not being responsive.

After updating the ROM to Finless 1.3 101K4. The controller is a lot more usable and a pleasure to use. The only issue I'm having is when I turn off the remote or the bluetooth on the box the connection wont come back when I turn it back on unless I delete it from android and reconnect it again. Other than that It works perfectly on Dead Trigger 2 and Nova 3. Happy gaming.

I haven't tried any others as of yet. It does seem like a lot of modern games are starting to support the controllers.
