Help: Using LiquidLimez's Market Fix Polaroid PTAB7XC

    Hi,

I am a newbie, a very appreciative one. Thanks for all the wonderful collection of information and tools everybody has contributed in these forums!

I installed LiquidLimez's market fix (http://www.freaktab.com/archive/index.php/t-706.html) on my Polaroid PTAB7XC tablet. Things mostly work fine. I recall when I ran the RunMe.bat script in that link, it asked if I wanted to remove the phone, SMS and bluetooth modules; I was not sure if those are relevant to a tablet that does not have bluetooth, and so responded "yes" at that time.

I am now wondering if this was the right thing to do, and if this would affect any other functionality on this tablet. Would I be able to use Skype? Can I use GoogleVoice to make calls?

If I had made a mistake with removing the phone modules etc., is there a way to correct that? The RunMe.bat script appears to have just renamed several files including Phone.apk. Is there a way to restore them to their original names, and would that be sufficient?

    Thanks,
    gard

GoogleVoice app does not connect on my tablet

    Hi,

I installed the GoogleVoice app, logged in with an id that has a validated GV number and tried to make an outgoing call. After I typed in the number to call, I chose to connect using the email id (not a phone #), then got a message saying GV will now call [email protected] (the email id I chose to make the call with), and then will call the outgoing number.

I expected to get a prompt to accept the call in either the browser, where I was logged in as [email protected]; or in the GV app. Neither happened. Should it have?

Next, I logged in to gmail from a PC, as [email protected]; then from the tablet dialed the outgoing # using GV and the same [email protected] id. This time, I got a prompt to accept the call on the PC, in the browser tab where I was logged in to gmail. I accepted and was connected to the outgoing # that I typed in to the GV app in the tablet.

Is the GV app working as it should on the tablet? Or, did I mess it up in the RunMe.bat sequence?

    Thanks for your help!
