Gotham RC1 - EM8 Devic

Has anyone noticed issues with installing Gotham RC1 on the box, you get SOUND but NO VIDEO, will try it on my dual core SYSTEM, to see if it's AMLOGIC related, but feels it's more of a firmware thing.

Same issues here. Everything played awesome on the stock Gotham Beta 1 that came installed but there was an issue with images not getting cached properly. Off to test the rest of the builds to see what one works the best.

Same problem here. Have tried Gotham Beta 2,3,4 and RC1. No video.

Will try it out, and report. I hope they are not pushing for a special compiled version of XBMC for this box.

Looks like it's a special compiled version for the box. Installed the new firmware which had the RC build of XBMC, uninstalled it and installed the newest Nightly which did not work... Hopefully there is something that can be done to remove this dependency.

P.S. Good performance so far from the box, the launcher requires some getting used to. It would have been nice to get a launcher like the AMAZON FIRE for all these OEM boxes, maybe an opportunity for a developer. Or it would have been nice to be able to customize the launcher a little.

Looks like it's a special compiled version for the box. Installed the new firmware which had the RC build of XBMC, uninstalled it and installed the newest Nightly which did not work... Hopefully there is something that can be done to remove this dependency.

Just download a launcher from the play store and customize it the way you like.

Launcher Must be like Xuanomi (sorry for spelling ) TV boxes ... simply Fantastic! I have tried to edit it but way too complicated for me...
imagine that Chinese stuff replaced with IMDB and Youtube that would be Great...

Ok I'm thinking there has to be something tweaked on the XBMC versions that come with these boxes because Gotham Beta 1 plays sound and video fine but if you remove the one that came with the box and install a new Beta 1, you get no video just sound.. and that is showing a problem with the AMlogic decoder for me in debug log. I've tested this on 2 different firmwares and had the same issue. I flash back and it works fine. Can anyone else confirm this? Gotham Rc1 comes with Acemax new firmware and works but I am betting you wont get video if you install it fresh.. havent tried this yet though.

Hopefully they recompile it again as the nightly builds have fixed few of my isues

that settings mbox error on the acemax firmware is very annoying. The 4/18 firmware didnt have that problem but it was limited to just beta 1.

its just some stupid random popup error saying the settings app has stopped. you click ok and it goes away until it randomly pops up again. I'm sure it will be fixed in the next fw release.
