Just an update, not worth making another thread...

The new XBMC v14 Helix alpha renders things differently on the screen compared to <14 versions.

As you can see from the screenshot, the GPU renders menus at a very high rate at 720p even on static screens. Notice low CPU load.

Also on gotham you could watch the actual fps if you started to play a video file, stopped the playback and then went into settings where you could see true frames.
Glad they ve lowered the cpu consumption on helix.
