After looking at the linux installer website, it isn't running linux on the device naively.
You also need to use VNC viewer to see the linux GUI.

I tried the Linux installer app from the market. I got Ubuntu up and running but like they said, it runs in basically a virtual environment and you have to use VNC to get to the Ubuntu GUI.
