I've just recieved my Minix Neo X7.
As the last android tv box that I had, both have a problema with the installation that I have at home.
I have HDMI output to TV and spdif (optical fiber) to a 5.1 amplificator.
When I want to see with my children "peppa pig" or kid videos, we have enoguht with TV sound, so I have to put sound mode to "normal sound mode" and keep amp turned off.
But when I want to see a movie in 5.1 sound, I have no choice but to go to sound settings and enable passtrought optical fiber .... all good.
The problema is that you can forget to change again the sound output to "normal one", so it's a bit upset.
In last android tv that I had, I can`t remember where I found that configuration file which is changed every time that "touch" sound output mode settings . (from what I've seen , both in the last android tv box as in the Minix , that file is NOT the "usual" "android settings.db") .
Has anyone researched this? I do not know much about programming Android ( Basic4android only ) and don't know how to decompile android application settings to find where it saves the changes we make in the output sound mode.
The idea would be to find where the changes are made , and then , using Basic4android or directly someone who knows java, program a small application or widget that pressing it on the desktop we could permute between two sounds output modes. (directly, one click, one change, another click, anther change again. No interface, only a tooltip explaning what sound mode do you have after the change)
I do not know if I 've managed to explain and if anyone knows how I can continue this work of which I am quite a newbie .
Best regards,
Sorry for my english.
