How to get Netflix running on RK802IIIS(B) ?

Arrg... I've spent the entire day trying different firmwares... Now I've given up.

For one year everything was working fine on my Rikomagic IIIS / 8G(B) <-- This is the text from the label on it.

Netflix played smoothly and as far as I know it was in full HD. At least the Rikomagic HDMI-mode was set to 1080p/60. The only thing not working really well was the RKMRemote on my phone.

Then I noticed that a new firmware had come out. The 131107 one, with Android 4.2. So I flashed that onto the device.

But now Netflix runs terrible. It stutters and sometimes even jumps a few frames back and forward. It happens a lot more when theres a lot going on in the picture. When playing video from my NAS I can pretty much play anything full hd properly... so I'm fairly sure that this is not related to the crappy wifi that is often mentioned for this device.

I then spent numerous hours on the internet trying to figure this out. But so far my conclusions are:
This stick is old, and noone makes firmware for it. They only make firmware for the sligtly newer one that has a different Wifi-chip.

Custom firmware is difficult to find. While there are tons of sites telling how good this and that firmware is, they never mention any specific details on why or what has been improved. They also usually forget to specify exactly which Rikomagic it is for, and then even if you try to download it, the link is dead.
The few ones I managed to find, and dared to flash onto the device were crappy and most didn't even boot.

So, I'll just go back to 4.1 again...? Apparently not.
The flash fails every time. Apparently due to some problem with partitioning. I've tried this guide: http://www.rikomagic.co.uk/forum/vie...hp?f=11&t=5208
    But it didn't work :-(

    So now I need help!

Are there any suitable firmwares available that actually works?

Or is there some way to get back to 4.1 again?
(I'm guessing that some of you that have been attending this forum for a longer time might have some better knowledge than what I have been able to gather today.)

Describe exactly what you do and what the problem is (error messages etc.) then we may be able to help you on this.

The problem was that every time I tried to flash the device everything would go fine until the Checking Device part.
This bit would run up to 100% but then report failed.
The last line would say Success<0> Fail<1>
No explanation was given by the tool as far as I remember.

Well, to make sure I wanted to do it once more, and provide a screenshot. But this time it worked fine!

I used the (newest?) Rockchip Batch Tool V1.7 that comes with the Official 4.2 upgrade (131107).
And I flashed the official 4.1 firmware (130428) using the Restore button in the tool.
The firmware that was present on the stick before was the official 4.2.

The first boot took quite a while, and printed lots of stuff on screen like "Formatting /mnt/" etc.
But now it works and Netflix seems to be running pretty well.
The Netflix testfile: The Example Show S1:E1 was unbearable to watch using the 4.2 firmware. It was stuttering constantly. Now with 4.1 it only stutters rarely, which I guess is due to the fact that it is almost torture to the system :-)
Normal movies run perfectly in 1080p and seem to be displayed in Netflix's highest quality. (I have it set up to auto.)

Perhaps it was the new tool, or perhaps it was just luck... at least now it works.
