MK809IV Rockchip RK3188-T bootloop or shutdown

    Dear all,

I bought an MK809IV from China yesterday with android 4.2.2. Everyhing worked fine, I managed to set it up the way I wanted, but i didn't have a router to connect to the internet. Today a friend gave me an ZTE USB 3G dongle to connect to my MK809IV. Everthing worked fine, I had internet, I managed to setup a google account and watch 1-2 videos on youtube. After about 5 minutes the screen started to make some purple horizontal lines. I was scared that something happened to the device and pluged it out.

After that I decided to remove the ZTE 3G adaptor and restart the MK809IV. Now I see some blue vertical lines in some applications (you can see this in the image below, on the left side), but only for 1920x1080 resolution. If i change the resolution to 1280x720 I no longer see the blue lines.

Let's say that isn`t a big problem, I can work with 720p resolution, but after about 2-3 minutes, the MK809IV restarts by itself (doesn`t matter what resolution I set) and enters a bootloop. I tried this several times with the same result.

The device has a built-in recovery mode and I managed to reset it to factory settings but with no succes, the reboot and bootloop still persists.

Could this be a rom problem? Or a hardware problem?

I am not sure what rom to install because from what I can see on the forum, MK809IV doesn`t really exist and it may be a copy of another device.

After I removed the covery I saw that the chipset is a Rockchip RK 3188-T, Quadcore 1.4Ghz, 8GB memory, AP6210 wifi and bluetooth.

I linked some photoes of the devices.

Please someone help me sort this out.

    An update..

I managed to flash the KitKat 4.4.2 from this post and after a restart it booted into the rom.
But I have the same problem: after about 5 minutes it freezes and restarts by itself and is stuck in the bootloop (linux penguins at the top left).

I think my device is overheating or something, altough it isn`t too hot or anything.

Can anyone help me with any suggestions?

I've got to worry you but it is a hardware failure.Connect your device even without the HDMI adapter. Graphics raining, maybe you will help undress additional cooling equipment and see if you have a heat sink on the processor.

Thanks, I managed to return it. Waiting for a new one

I don't think it is a Hardware Failure. It is a Power Failure. The PSU for your Stick have not the power needed for both. Use a USB switch with a own PSU and all will Work.

I fix mini pc, and I know what he writes is a processor failure, and exactly cold February happens so I had a few such cases. This is not the fault of the power supply

Same here. 4 x tux pinguins and just a flickering ANDROID logo. It won't even boot in OTG modus.
I have done some flashing of the Android kind(Phones/Minix,etc.) But never seen this before.

The Reason is maybe the Wrong Kernel.
                    Because a RK3188-T is not a Normal RK3188.
The difference is they are out selected RK3188 they can only run with 1.4 GHz.
Try one of this kernel depending on your Wi-Fi Chip-->
