noob needs help

    noob needs help

    hi I recently bought a mini pc android tv box
    no name Chinese, it is a rockchip rk3066 and on 4.2.2, now the trouble is I cannot root this device, ive tried the modded superonecilck shortfuse, tsparky von droid,
    modded superone click short fuse seems to go through the process, says im rooted, but it insnt when completed

    please someone help me to get his box sorted as I cannot get SuperUser access ect which I understand certain apps on this android box need

        right I now need a little help,as you probably guessed im new to android, lol,
        rigtht how would I backup my mini pc rk3066, in case it ever messes up? titanium backup root?

        and also which custom rom would any experts on here recommend to reflash to this device, and youve guesed it,lol,
        links to relavant tutorials would be a huge help

          Which box you got? You can search in the right section for custom roms.

          Im no expert but i would recommend this rom if you got mk808.
          Make sure its not a clone as you ll lose the wifi.
          You ll flash it through CWM so you can backup your previous set up beforehand.
          Hope it helps.

            how will I find out which device ive got no name ect or model number number the box

            only got the device info in about section when powered on??

              Where did you bought it? The box doesnt say a thing about the model?
              You can search the web about anything similar it looks like.
              Post an image here, maybe someone else can help to identify it.
              But if its some unknown or random clone dont expect any custom roms...

                  Yeah i havent seen that before. Better stick with stock rom, probably there are no custom ones.
                  But this is a rk3188 box not rk3066.
                  You can ask in the RK3188 section for your box.

                    anyone know if its possible to use an original xbox controller with my tv box?
                    I have controller and usb connector cable, I can move the cursor ect around but cant get it to do anything in any games
                    am I missing something in configuiration
                    or just not possible to use this controller
