    Linux on Amlogic

    Hi there,
Im planing to buy new vega s89 but Im curios about linux with Amlogic devices. I searched on the web and there are some information but I havent found any system that runs ubuntu or debian etc.
I have mk802 and mk808 both of them have great community support for linux and i really would like to see same with s802 soc.
Also i saw same videos that rk3288 devices runining chromeos. I think source codes and sdks for chromeos already published. Do you think amlogic will support chromeos too?
    All the best

In the past for the AML8726-MX dual core G-BOX I only know 1 Linux implementation for using XBMC...

The S802 is too new, but if Amlogic take the same source code politic (non open source) I don't think so, you will find a big developer community in future...
    And what's about chromeos ???????
    The future will show...

BTW: a basic Linux kernel source is available, but only basic (3.10)

Thanks for information. However I already found those pages but since Im not a developer I can do nothing with them. I wish I could :/
I was hoping for someone can make an ubuntu or debian image so we can put it on our sd cards and use.
Maybe by the time someone will do it and share.
          All the best

                    That's really crazy :
"... the kernel (via boot.img) is loaded via TFTP, and the rootfs (Linaro ALIP image) is mounted via NFS, so it’s nearly impossible to brick your device using the method provided ..."
