101k4 ROM - FIX - Wifi 5G Patcher ZIP

    101k4 ROM - FIX - Wifi 5G Patcher ZIP

    OK here is a update that should patch the 101K4 5G wifi and make it work in all countries!

    This is a flashable ZIP package. You do not need a program or a flash tool!

    Instructions:

    1) Download this zip file and put it on a SDcard. DO NOT unzip it!
    2) Put the SDcard into the S89 SD slot.
    3) Go into your APPs and run the update tool.
    NOTE: DO NOT have the OTG USB cable plugged into the S89! If you do it will boot into FLASH mode and not recovery!
    4) In the update tool click the "select" button. It should list the file 101k4_5g_wifi_patcher.zip. Click it.
    5) Now press the update button.
    6) The system should reboot into recovery and automatically install the zip.
    However sometimes it reboots to the recovery menu! Not sure why.
    If it does, then using the mouse, select "Apply updated from EXT"
    Now select SDcard. You should see the 101k4_5g_wifi_patcher.zip file. Select it.
    Recovery will then install the update. When done select reboot system from the menu.

    thanks Bob! will test it tonight (approx 8 hours), I'll be borrowing a dual band WAP to do so.

    EDIT: 5GHz WAP loan fell through, will test when I'm able.

        a dl link would be good. No rush. Thanks for your work, time, and effort bob. Hope once its posted it works and less of your time will be spent on amlogics paid devs expense

          The DL is only able to be seen if you are at 5GHz-WiFi at 101K4...
          (Sorry, but from time to time a little joke...)

                  BTW: I also able to download via file menu, but I think it's not the normal way that the files inside the zip will show?

                    Google Drive will do that. You need to use the top menu in Google drive and download the ZIP only.
