Howto get 4K Output on 4K TV?

I received my Tronsmart Vega S89 (8GB Version) with already preinstalled 101K4 Rom today.
After I connected it to my Toshiba UHD 55ZL2G television I played some sample UHD / 4k files with
the internal 4K player application. Except the fact that most of this sample videos were sputtering and also were played without any sound, the TV didn't switch into UHD mode. They all were played downsampled just in HD Mode. It also was not possible to switch the output resolution into 4k 24/25/30 or QHFD, because it jumped back automatically into 720 or 1080 for show up then with the "Metro" GUI again.
Maybe somebody here can give me some suggestion for how to switch into higher modes than HD. Many thanks in advance.

Hi,I find the tv spec on Toshiba website http://www.toshiba.de/discontinued-products/55zl2g/.

It don't support 4k HDMI input.

And can you upload the 4k video files, let me to check it.

Also not via USB (comment at amazon.de) but only at amazon.de I found the 'UHD' in the headline...
At toshiba.de they don't talk about uhd, they only call it 'Quad-Full-HD (4x Full-HD)' ...

So I don't think it is an 'UHD' TV... I think it's something else to manage the 3D quality without glasses but not an 'UHD' TV...

            What LED TV is backlit?

It is my understanding that only SONY and SAMSUNG have true backlit LED TV's.

All others have EDGE or DYNAMIC EDGE or other EDGE lighting. I have noted that

Sony systems with HX are backlit and NX and EX have EDGE. For Samsung, I have

seen that D7000 and D8000 are using backlit LED's. The problem is I have seen

reviews of the systems that say these HX and D7000 systems are using EDGE.

So what is the deal? Why can't a simple declaration be so mixed up?

why can't the companies just state how their systems are configured?

Please let me know which systems you know use BACKLIT LED's.

            thanks!!!

@Oman thank you very much for your reply. Strange thing, if i connect a Laptop with an Intel 4000HD onboard graphics Card, the screen resolution over HDMI can be set to 3840x2160, which is UHD resolution . So usually the Vega also should can be switched to this resolution according the Picture adjust menu. I am sorry, but the demo Videos i used are from LG and timescape. It is really impossible to upload them, about the total size of around 50GB. There is another Webpage published a test of this TV: http://www.areadvd.de/hardware/2012/...l2_test.shtml. There they also wrote that the Resolution of this TV is 3840x2160, which is UHD resolution. Related to the Wikipedia QFHD (Quad Full HD) is the same resolution like UHD. The HDMI Version is 1.4b. I am really confused now...

1.Maybe Intel 4000HD onboard graphics Card do some different things, but at first you must check if the tv can support 4k HDMI in,not the tv display itself.

                2.U can use mediainfo[
http://mediaarea.net/zh-CN/MediaInfo] to show the video's characteristic, and post it here.Maybe i can find something.

Attached there are some screenhot examples from mediainfo of the video files I am using for the 4k/UHD playback. Hope this helps.

One more question about the resolution of the Tronsmart Vega. If I choose one of the 4K resolutions for the HDMI output, will the Metro GUI also switch to the choosen resolution?
