MK908v5 boot loop

Hello,

I've just bought a new MK908v5 (I opened it to verify) and tried to upgrade to Fineless ROM v1.8.
The upgrade with the tool was successful, then the device rebooted and format some filesystems.
And finally, he reboot, but after the red message (freaktab.com Fineless ROM...) he boot loop.

So I downloaded the ROM v1.7a. The upgrade was successful. First reboot format the system. Then it boot loop after the black droid logo, and geekbuying + freaktab on the bottom right...

I tried to upgrade with RK batch tool v1.6 and update_mk908_202j2203_overseas--v5.0.img. Same behaviour : upgrade successful, first reboot format the system, and then boot loop after the TRONSMART logo.

Any idea how I can recover the device ???

Hello,

Just an update:
I read a lot of threads in this forum (not only on mk908) and other websites and I finally succeed to recover the stick.
First, I reflash the stick with procedure described here : http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...09-18-need-ROM

I didn't enter in Mask Mode, just erase NAND with the flash tool (twice or more like j05h1 did). Then I flash the stick with Fineless v1.7a and boot+recovery+kernel of j05h1.

The stick had booted correctly to the wizard, and then after few second he reboots. So I can go further, but I still have this boot loop.
Then I decided to plus the power adaptor instead of only giving power with the PC by the OTG port. Now, it does not reboot ! (I read this somewhere but I don't remember where).
Finally, I wonder if after the first flash of fineless v1.8 it could have been working correctly with power adaptor? Maybe...
I don't know if the file provided by j05h1 are mandatory to have the stick working...
I hope this experience could help someone having the same issue.

I tried to play with it, mainly to download some apps, but my device is not compatible with one TV channel app. I'm trying to modify the build.prop to spoof a samsung smartphone or tablet but the app still stay not compatible with my device. Someone has an idea about that ? What the app is able to check to say it is not compatible ?

I will probably try the last fineless actually available (1.8).
