Vizio sound bar volume down sleeps/wakes neo x7

Not sure anyone could speak to a resolution, but it would appear that when turning vol down on my sound bar, this also puts my neo x7 to sleep.

Hitting vol down again wakes it up again, but this is kind of annoying.

As a workaround I've just been using vol control on the device as opposed to the sound bar, but if anyone has any advice or suggestions, that would be cool.

If your not using the ir remote maybe put tape in front of ir receiver. Sure this not a solution but if you use a air mouse it could help.
