I have a problem that looks to be almost the same.

I received my S89 16GB last week from Geekbuying
Connected to my TV and/or AV receiver and it had a HDMI signal to TV.
Used the S89 for a night to play with.
Shut it off and found that red led to flicker blue/red during the next days.
    Didn't pay attention to it.

Tonight I wanted to play some more and had NO signal to the TV via HDMI.
No matter what I do: No signal.
I tried connecting to TV directly.
Tried connection via the AV receiver to TV.

I also tried to reset but don't see anything happen.
Pushed the toothpick. Connected the power plug. Push the ON button. Blue led went ON. Released the tooth pick.

    What should I do???

I am complete noobie to all this myself and don't take any of this as gospel, as all I know is what I have picked up from the forums and my minimal experience.

The blue/red flicker has been reported on quite a few threads and that is the box syncing or updating and this can be turned off by disabling sync with Google,Dropbox or any other program likely to sync. I be leave there is a program in the play store that would also disable this.

If you can get the av lead to work, I would check that you have the hdmI auto detect option in the display settings. You may have disabled this whilst playing about or trying to reset. It may be possible by using the toothpick you may have entered a recovery mode of some type, unfortunately I have no experience with this.

On my tv I had to use a scart adaptor to enable the a/v cable work. I believe that if I had a play with the tv settings I could get the 3 coloured connectors to work, but unfortunately I am a bit lazy as the scart is fine.

Also make sure you have connected the av lead, powered up and have the tv on the correct channel and removed the hdmi from the box before powering on, as I have found that this enables it to auto detect the analogue signal. Also do the opposite when trying the hdmi.

im not sure if by simply using the toothpick would actually reset the box, I used it in conjunction with a windows 7 PC to update the firmware (windows 8 has problems doing this). I used this stock rom and used method 2, making sure I read method 1 fully as the instructions on part 2 are not that clear. http://blog.geekbuying.com/index.php...ifi-all-fixed/

Due to the kids running around I was not able to update my box any further, and I have found out that I now need to root 102k4 to install the latest xbmc nightly. I also notice that I am running kitkat 4.2 not 4.4 and I need work out how to update that. Any pointers would be appreciated.

        BTW:
The A/V port and cable has one plug for composite video (yellow) and each one for left/right audio (red/white) so I don't think you will be able to use it at RGB...

I am am talking about the composite and audio as you said and I had to use a scart adaptor, as the composite and audio ports on the right side of my tv are not working. I think there was an option on my tv settings that I had previously disabled.

This morning I connected the S89 with the AV cable to my Samsung LED TV.
The AV connection works. I reset to factory by using the menu option.
AV connection still works, but it still does not connect by using HDMI.

I checked the HDMI setting in the menu (while being connected with AV) and HDMI is set to AUTO.

Any other options I should check?
Is there a specific sequence of connection when going from AV to HDMI?
Does Tronsmart have a support email or forum?

If possible try to use another hdmi cable and also another tv...

The problem is, that without hdmi you are not able to reflash rom via toothpick (reset via A/V hole) & SD card, but I don't know if you are able to handle the USB tool method with the flashtool at pc and the img file without working hdmi...

Worth case the hdmi port bricks...

But the screen displays various 'fails to mount sdcard errors'.
What am I doing wrong? It does see the zip file when using the Update App...

I doubt that it is the TV.
