Tronsmart s89 Std has no output/picture

    sorry to go off tangent, but I have finally convinced the mrs that we need a new tv. I have been looking at a Panasonic Viera TX-L50E6B LED, as I need to keep the cost down as a compromise.
    I have tried to google what hdmi standard it is using, but as usual have no definitive answer. Is it safe to assume that it would be 1.4a or 1.4b? And is this tv any good in general

      I had 3 boxes with the same problem. I noticed all 3 boxes worked after I pushed up or down on the cable. One of the boxes worked as long as I pushed the hdmi cable up, the minute I let go the image would go dark. The other two boxes worked for a day, I unplugged the hdmi cable after a few hours and then they didn't display anything until I played with them again. The hdmi connector must be loose.

        I received my box with a "bad HDMI".
        I opened the box and re-soldered the hdmi connector.

        Working good now.

          I know I'm a bit late but I had a similar problem,

          Intermittently my tv wouldn't pick up any picture via hdmi, after racking my brains n fearing having to send the box back, I thought I'd try a hdmi splitter, see if that helped.

          Bought one from **** for a fiver n it worked, have absolutely no problems with it now.

            s89-H HDMI not working

            I'm a customer who ordered this box on 30/04/14 (order #3157702). Received this week. Been using it for two days and suddenly screen started flickering and changing colors (turning green and pink) and suddenly stopped working. Noticed that when I turned out the unit for a few hours, turned it on and started working fine, but in about 20 minutes it started the same thing again.
            Read on this forum is something related with the HDMI port and don't have the skills to repair it.
            So I'm asking for returning the unit and for a refund to after arrival department of geekbuying. They told to post here and see if the tech department could help on that. Been reading this forum since I ordered the box, almost all threads, and all I see it could help is soldering the HDMI input, but I don`t have the skills nor the materials to do that.

            I have installed previously Finless 1.6 rom, and latest version of xbmc provided in this forum and all went ok.

            So please I´m asking for some word of the tech department and see if I can get a solution or a refund for the item

              Given your description of the problem it is almost certainly the HDMI cold-solder problem. If you told this same story to geekbuying they should have accepted your return immediately, this problem is well known and the owner of geekbuying himself is on here apologizing to customers about this issue. Don't delay, demand they take it back right away.

                Thanks for your reply. I have been reading this forum and I already suspected that was the probled. Contacted with Eric from GeekBuying sendind a PM, and he replied me to contact with the after sale unit.
                I send them a mail explaining the problem (nearly the same I posted here), and they replied me that

                and the tech people will reply you. if the trouble is the same, please contact us, and we will send you the right returning address for a new.take it easy, we will keep in touch with you until the trouble is solved

                  i need help

                  bad luck, after 1 week there is no hdmi signal. this manufacturer sucks.

                  what do you say:

                  1-try to weld it in my area, if I open I lose the warranty or not.
                  2 - best replacement order, just that I think the time is too long, I think at least three months more at least $ 20 costs,

                  the truth from the point you see it, this sucks.

                    have the same issue PINK screen on Tronsmart s89-H and also Minix Neo X8-H

                    Both brand new...on Minix Neo X7 are no issues...

                    FIXED - I had Set on projector RGB Color setting (was fine on everything Laptop,Minix X7)
                    But not on those 2...ive changed to HDTV or Auto and all is fine juuhu
