Link to Finless 1.5 Download M9 Max Pro 3G

This year's tax refund allowed me to purchase my first Android tablet as a replacement for my two year old Kindle Keyboard. After research into pricing and hardware features, I opted to purchase the PIPO m9 Pro Max 3G. It arrived on Monday, May 12, 2014.

I'm a well-seasoned (20+ years), middle-aged DOS and Windows support tech. If disabling health issues didn't play silly games with my concentration and memory, I'd consider building my own custom OS or replacing the boot logo in Riley's OS build. I once did a logo swap for a Linux box I was working on. The recollection is you edit one of the INI files to reference the custom logo and include the logo.) So, I'm relying on others work, not a bad thing necessarily, but just as irritating as watching my four year old grandson's nose-picking. (You can thank me later for that imagery. )

I tried the shipping OS build and like the look and feel. I only have two concerns: missing Admin/Superuser privileges and the related lack of permissions needed to uninstall unwanted applications. So, I flashed the BOOT ROM and installed RileyRom 2.7.2 KitKat. No offense, but I didn't like it--too pared down for my tastes and I didn't like the boot logo or the screen saver. I've since re-flashed the BOOT ROM with the PIPO M9pro_1.0.7-20140414-update.img. Of course, it has the same Superuser issues as the original OS.

During my research into upgrading the Pipo OS, I ran across a download link in one of RKRiley's posts here on Freaktab for the Finless 1.5 OS. I think it was for the M9 PIPO. Would someone please help me find the missing link? I seem to recall some info on jailbreaking an Android tablet but can't find that either.

Just keep in mind that Bob's ROM is Jellybean...mine was KitKat. The Pipo firmware for KK is paired down from the start...no bells and whistles. I just remove the Chinese apps. The boot animation is located in system/media...you can just cut/paste it somewhere else and place your own file in it's place...giving it execute permissions.
