( on windows 8 machine ill have xp machine tonight so ill re flash with that system tonight as i still dont trust these fricking drivers from rockcrap!)
it's not rebooting nor freezing on ours. There's just one of ours having this behavior and we think it's a faulty device because it does this on every rom not just qs3.

Please try a lower speed kernel, maybe it's just a matter of too much OC for cpu or ram. not all devices support the same OC values.

          24 HZ Display option

          Hi all,

First of all, thanks for the rom leolas, it looks amazing!

Just one question, is there any way to add a 1080@24 hz option ?
Maybe I could flash another kernel with this display option?

I have quite media files that need this resolution for be reproduced smoothly....

          Thanks in advance!!

In our next fix we will provide new kernels with this option.

Just to test stability, I decided to flash the stick on my lapdock with this ROM, since that's the one I use all the time. To be clear, I flashed this ROM on an MK809III with RK3188T.

I've run it for 3 hours, used bit torrent to download movies to my SD CARD, transferred files to/from my NAS, played XBMC - and used a USB sound card to listen via headphones. Everything worked great, perfect stability - no unexpected shutdowns like I occasionally saw with Neomode 1.9A. The only thing I could wish for would be a sound fix for screens that don't report back.

Speaking of which - Leolas, did you get the dmesg I sent you via PM?

On a different note, I tried to flash this rom on a different MK809III with a full RK3188 (not T) - and it wouldn't even boot. I got weird lines on my screen, occasionally flashing. I flashed back to Neomode 1.9A successfully. I'll try again tonight, but it's funny - I never thought I'd wish this stick were an RK3188T. :-)

Hello everyone. Thanks for this development.

I've been trying this for a couple of days and i have found an issue.

When it starts the screen is not scaled correctly, the clock stays a bit out of the screen. I have it connected thru HDMI to a normal Sony HDMI 720p capable screen.
Every time i have to go to settings and scale image. And the best part is that just when i hit the button the screen scales correctly. But the option never gets saved and i have to do it everytime.

Another completly different question. What is the root ssh password? i tried to change root password with passwd but seems that this command doesnt exists on android.

BTW the video playback is so smooth, congratulations.

Ive flashed on 4 different boxes and not one stable cant get them to run more the 20 minutes but they run smic rom at 1.8 and d33 kernel, Neomodes also runs same but more stable at 1.7 cant figger out why this one is so problematic on all 4 Mk902?
Many devices now mk902ii/Shield/Mk68 /Ugoos/neox5/minix5 (yes they still work lol) mk80 no it doesnt work lol.

Sorry we tested the rom in 3 devices before publish it, and all of them works stable. Try to use the cpu1400Mhz kernels included in the kernels-pack. Anyway we will release a update 3.1 very soon. I wish youo better luck wiith this one.

Ok ill try again once new release out, boxes get warm fast, i can keep stable at your set rom but only if cooled externally? is the kernel d33 build? as the one he made runs fast at 1.4 and cool at 1.8 ? so its seems the boxes resetting because of heat issues, nothing else.

we just tested with new shipment same results, none run longer then 20 minutes, but the one box on fan still going so thats 8 boxes tested, none work without cooling.

Unless someone knows a good reason not to, Im going to attempt flashing this on my MK802IV and test each of D33's last two 3188 kernels with it tonight.

EDIT: no luck just flashing the QS3 ROM. Tried three times. First startup gave me an error stating the external SD couldn't be mounted, then it indicated it was clearing cache and would reboot. The auto restart gave no signal to TV. The next two flash attempts yielded no HDMI signal at all.

Sorry a lot, but we don't have a mk802IV device. The kernel must be different.

Leolas: No worries. It was a long shot anyway. KitKat will happen to my stick eventually. I'm lucky to have a factory "recovery" image and then Neomode's NCR 1.9a to fall back on.
Cheers! Keep up the good work.

(EDIT: It should be noted that i didnt attempt flashing D33's kernel when I dropped QS3 on my stick. With more time and patience, possibly with another kernel, it may have worked. Magnus33 somehow made it through boot, and he has a -T chip in his 802IV stick.)

This ROM is working remarkably well on my MK 809III with RK 3188T processor. It won't install on the same device with a full RK3188, which is ironic.

This is my favorite rom/TV stick combination yet.
