BBC iPlayer not working in browser

I used to watch iPlayer using the Dolphin browser, rather than the android app as you could view programs in HD. I have flash installed and all was working well until a few days ago. Looks like the BBC has changed something as the video no longer displays - just a black box.

I installed Firefox and still a black box. Chrome says download Flash, but it is installed. UC HD also shows a black box.

Any ideas? I'm using a minix x7 with the stock 4.2.2 (latest version)

realy,if flash is the same,your rom is the same,your browser is the same BUUUUTTTT the content of a website is now not reachable ...... maybe somethink of the content on the site itself has been changed ;D
so,my advice -> email to the admin of the site.
because the error cant be in your system, you havent changed anything

Ah, yes I like your humour - contacting the BBC about iPlayer has always been a big issue, their tech support direct to customers has never been there.

Have you tried the latest app instead of the web browser? They have added downloads for all devices and the quality has increased if you download the program rather than watch streamed, but not tried it other than on my phone yet.

Someone mentioned you needed flash version 10 or below for it to work. I was unsuccessful and ended up reverting back to the iPlayer app. But now I have 2 issues with the stock rom (version 10)

I have gone with uno telly for DNS and VPN.
1) Very slow DNS which prevents me viewing BBC iPlayer app -
I get the error 'This content doesn't appear to be working. Please check your network connectivity and try again layer. (2004)

2) When I use uno telly PPTP VPN to the UK.. iPlayer works but the VPN stops after an hour. It doesn't disconnect but just appears to freeze. I have to disconnect and then reconnect which works for another hour.

Initially I was using unlocator.com for DNS and had the same network error. I was using witopia for VPN and that didn't connect to the UK.

Any ideas?

Update - I'm now using uno telly Open VPN which works, although slower than PPTP

bbc blocked android

Simple, they blocked android via browser. I would say use the app but it performs terribly via android box, so the only option is the XBMC add on.

Do you have details for how to install the XBMC add on?
