    Reset button

I understand the reset button on the S89 is in the AV opening but is the part to be pushed in the centre ( similar to the central pin in the power opening) or at the bottom (6 o'clock position)?

Following on therefore, is the button pushed IN or DOWN? Mine does not "click" as described and is in the bottom position but I don't know if that's a result of my heavy-handedness from previous attempts when I couldn't really see what I was doing!

Thanks for your reply TMx but are you suggesting that I take the case apart to operate the reset?
I was really looking for information regarding what should be visible when looking at the A/V port and if the button is pressed in or down.

no dont take appart. Just use a toothpick and gently stick it into the a/v port until it flushes with the switch and then gently press until you feel it click. I brake the sharp point off the toothpick ends to stop it from goring my finger ... or the switch

The thing you see at the bottom is part of the AV connector.

It's a bit strange pushing something into the back of a connector but once you've done it once you'll see its fine. I used a match and shaved it around the edges.
