Infrared Remote with MK808B

Hi folks,

I bought a USB IR receiver today with the thought of using it to control my MK808B. I had in mind some kind of app that would learn commands from any remote (old TV remote, etc.) and map them to android functions (up, down, enter, vol+, etc.). Does something like this exist? If not, can it be done a different way?

Yeah, I returned the module to tigerdirect. FLIRC works by mimicing a qwerty keyboard and outputting keyboard strokes. This one doesn't do that, and it looks like it's for a different purpose entirely. Oh well, now we all not to get this.
