I recently purchased two android sticks to try out for a project i'm working on. Without doing any backup I kind of jumped in head first without really doing any research, but now i've got two android sticks without working WiFi .gif "FacePalm")
This one inparticular is the GT-318 made by Alldaymall. I'm pretty sure its an RK3188 Quad-core 1.6. In my haste I just started flashing anything and everything on it, which most of the time worked fine except for that pesky WiFi. I've had 720p roms work, 1080p roms work, i'm really trying to overclock the piss out of it to see if I can get some better 2D performance out of it.
I did manage to find a rom that works with it, including WiFi - but its KitKat and only 720p. That, and none of the supplied kernels that came with it will allow me to overclock it.
The rom in question that worked after I was about to throw in the towel was ncr_31_mk809III_kitkat.
I don't mind kitkat, as it seems to perform nicely, but its bone stock and 720p. Again, i'm looking to do some major overclocking, have ordered heat sinks and fans and what not, but i'm not exactly sure what i'm dealing with here because its such an off-off brand.
Has anyone had experience with this stick, or know an overclockable 1080p rom that I can test out? I've spent the past few days battling with this stick, doing loads of research and have my system setup to flash these things. Just need a little point in the right direction
