    Hipstreet Flare 2

Digital Dad here. Just got my daughter a new Hipstreet Flare 2, to replace her Polaroid PTAB 7XC; seems battery is dying. This guess by its charge time and user time. Is it me or is the HS Flare 2 buggy? I have the option of returning it within 20 days or so. Thanks to any info/experience with the device...

More on the Hipstreet Flare 2...

Okay got the Google Play Store functioning; it was a question of permissions, still no flash. Tried loading a flash apk I had stored on my computer. No go. Either I put in the wrong file folder, or as I suspect, the chip set will not support flash. Tried the free version of Photon Browser from Google Play. Geez! What an ad-mill!!! You can just see the flash using website behind the nearly constant ads. More research is needed but, the clock is ticking as I will return it this week. Big thanks to the Freaktab member who passed me the flash apk ages ago and Elektric for all the advice and Rom builds.

Returned Hipstreet Flare 2 and tried the Acer Iconia A1

Wow, its a jungle out there. When I returned the Hipstreet there was no problem at Wal-Mart. Saw the Acer Iconia A1, 7.85 screen, quad core processor, and thought that should end my daughter's statement of slow response. Asked the clerk to check if it supported Adobe flash player, she googled it and said 'yes'. So, I paid another $40 CAD more than the Hipstreet. Got it home, followed instructions and charged for 4 hours plus and waited to check it out. It was the best built tablet I have handled so far. Wow, that sucker was fast but, checked in settings and it was OS 4.4!!!! Somehow could not find this out before opening the box. Back it goes. I've check for ROMs to drop it to OS 4.0 and have not found any flawless yet. Saw some good work by finless Bob on the net. Glad to see he was getting finacial support from users.
