DD (aka Dolby Digital) is AC3! Without having my vega yet, this is a piece of cake to passthrough from HDMI or optical to amp.

Yes,it support ac3, vega s89 elite and vega s89 standard can decode ac3 via XBMC. the vega s89-h can just decode that via stock media player.
