Tronsmart vaga standard broken. geekbuying.

I was playing NFS for 2 hours yesterday night then my display started to go snowy so I turn it off & back on again & still the same, So I turn it back on again & nothing. All lights are on but my TV is not picking up the box HDMI any more. Iv even tried to connect it to my computer, my computer picks it up but not showing eny thing on scream. Gutted. Some 1 help please. PS. Iv only had the bloody thing for a week or so. Quick delivery from geekbuying as well.

Same here and no explanation for it. Second tronsmart device I've bought from geekbuying and second time I've had it break within a week of use. Absolutely ridiculous, they can have it back and refund my money which will take another month or so no doubt. Don't know why there so recommended, I've made 2 purchases with geekbuying and both have been very short lived and costly mistakes

I'm guttid mine has broken. I'm going to go for the m8 this time it seems stable. It has the same specks as the tronsmart and is cheaper. Or maybe I will wait till that fix the bugs on the tronsmart before I get another.

I was thinking the same thing although ultimately they are the same board. The only notable difference I've observed it the beelink appears to have an extra capacitor if that's what they're called? 6 instead of 5... What benefits that may have, if any, I don't know...

My fears are that these boxes will suffer repeat problems and although we have a great support system here and the best devs around, which is why I jumped in and bought one early on, I'm not so sure hardware problems can be resolved or ironed out.. I was certain I'd be okay as I thought my Vega was part of the second batch geekbuying received but on looking at the board it had a sticker with a revised build date over the original build date that was the same from the get go...

I really want another box,now mines dead and I'm seeing finless 1.5 now and I'm sure many more to come in the future but I'm wondering wether to sit tight and see what the coming months bring, rather than waiting weeks on end receiving and returning box's that have a life span of a week or 2....

Sorry guys, for making you have such a hard decisions.

for your problems, you can PM your order number,i will ask the customer service to take care of your orders. and we are keep talking with factory,and push them to fix such bugs.

till now, there is no mainly hardware problem for those device. the total we have sold are much higher than the problem reported.

mayber, wait a little longer, and minix will come soon, check what people are talking about minix device, and then make a decision.

Well to be honest, the broken unit I have has put me off buying another of the same make now like. I'm sending mine back to geekbuying today to get my money back. I'm going to for for the m8 for now. Can't do with out my android box like. Lol

Totally agree wasted enough money in return shipping and 4 months total turnaround time with 2 failed purchases from geekbuying I'm just spending money wasting time ending up dissapointed with no product at the end of it all... The MINIX idea is maybe a good one , never had a problem with my X7 ( the only device not supplied by geekbuying!) and despite having to wait for its release, which could be months away, it's gonna take that long for geekbuying to refund my money anyway so might work out just right!! #sarcasm

Sounds like an overheating problem when executing a cpu intensive application (such as NFS) for an extended duration. First step would be to ensure that you place the unit on a solid surface so that the air can freely circulate underneath the unit. (i.e don't place the unit on a carpet, bed, sofa etc.) Since the unit does not have a fan it relies totally on convection cooling and for that it needs free air space around it. That is what the three bumps on the bottom are for.

Thanks mate, but to me it dose not have enough air holes it this unit to cool it down eny way, and as for playing intensive games, it should not brake down on you eny way. My unit has no HDMI out put not the chip over heating. Its just cost me £15.15p to send this back. I'm not a happy chappy like.

Big holes, Small holes. The principle still applies - If the holes are blocked the unit will not cool down.

I no what your saying, but it was on my bedside table not on the carpet or bed. It still should not brake after you play a game for a while. If that was the case, what wood be the point of buying 1 if it broke from playing a game. This is a hardwere issue not a software 1.

My S89-H delivered last friday morning (23rd May). Was so excited i use it right away. Up until now (25th) i haven't turn it off. Only problem i had was that i cannot login in playstore and i cannot seem to find where to shutdown. Lol

Done rugged test such as downloading large files from internet, play hi-res vids (damn its good) play music and games. All good.
