Cheers for these. had googled but didn't know the specific term

Mine is doing it in the settings menu as well and not just in video. They squares are static until I changed and they move down a line. Nothing has changed, no updates and no new apps. Really weird.

        i think maybe its a cable-issue
maybe cable is defective,or bad quality (happens often, reaaly often ^^) or the contact is not perfect to the tv.
try to sort out these errors
if nothing helps -> reflash and do a full wipe of the system (erase nand ....)
just search for "erase nand" in this forum and u will find it, it hink in "quckshors v3" thread or "wassers kitkat" thread u will find a way to clean the system completely.

Open RKAndroidTool.exe and click ERASE IDB, when the process of NAND erase is complete, click Run and this flashed the new ROM, after which the Stick will restart automatically. Initially entering the stock recovery and formatted some internal partitions. Then it will restart again and begin the startup of the new ROM.

Ok, so an update. Cleared NAND and reflashed with Hardware Guru rom 4 and the same problem. So can only be hardware (minix) related I assume?
