Getting better wifi signal!!!

Has anyone tryed move the antenna too outside the box and if soo what is your result?

I open up my box and looked at the antenna.
It is a very small kabel but not very hard to remove from the antenna.
I drilled a small hole in the box and solder back the antenna.
Didnt get the result i wanted. The 2.4 signal went from 4 bars too two and still no 5ghz signal.
I think the antenna+ cabel it self is to bad. I have ordered a new one from **** that is for laptops.
I think i can get it to fit in the box.
I will report more when i get it and have tryied it.

Soldering Wifi Antenna is very Tricky If you Overheat the Cable ,you can Melt the wire insulation and Short it , result will be worst...

Try to solder only inner part of the antenna cable, see if its gonna help...

That happened the first time. But i got it right the second time.
I will replace the cable to a better one.

No problem solder it.

one of my boxes had a wifi trouble opened and discovered that wifi cable wasn't soldered properly, Re Soldering did the trick for me its perfect now...

Are you on 5 or 2.4ghz ? what exactly is your problem, signal level? 5ghz trouble is not related to antenna ,its a configuration fault If you use Lifeforce FW its been sorted...

you probably need a new router.. I get 4/4 bars 2.4ghz(10mb/s) and 3/4 bars 5ghz (32mb/s) my router is in the basement 2 floors down. 8 meters is very close compared to how far mine is

I really hope that dont need a new router because i have a Asus RT-AC68U.

I would power off your router for 30 seconds to reboot it and test again. Maybe its a bad wifi chip in your M8 who knows but if it were me Id go to best buy and buy a new router just to test and return it if you get the same results. If you decide to test a new one go with a Linksys that way you aren't using the same brand which the chip may not like. I'm running a Linksys now and getting decent speeds.

guys i ordered 6 pieces and i can say the wifi is crap infact the box
is crap , i spoke with the factory and asked for a refund

Which FW are you on?

If Wifi is crap Stay away from android Boxes Cos almost all manufaturers using the same Broadcom Wifi chip 6330 in their latest models...

wifi speed 32mbps
Ethernet speed 81mbps

I sell minix boxes, even the mini X5 i use dont have th wifi issues , So not all the Android boxes are crap

What is the cause then that i dont get issues with minix because there i dont get wifi issues , tested a lot of rom s but no succes with the m8.
