We asked minix about the possibility to connect the x7 with a serial adapter to develop in kernel, but they answered that there was not this possibility.

GOOD NEWS - there is a possibility to do so. The test pads T1 (RxD), T2 (TxD) and T3 (GND) are to be used. The T1 and T2 print is not visible in the photo - both prints are hidden by the cooler panel.Originally posted by leolas View Post

Baudrate is 115200 by default boot and kernel settings.
GND can alternatively be picked from header J1, pin 4.
J1 is an additional USB plug - for what purpose ever. The pins are: 1: VCC, 2: D-, 3: D+, 4: GND
The two pads at T4 can be used to get the device into MASKROM mode when the T4 pads are shorted during boot.
