Tronsmart S89 Standard: Red and blue lights blink in STBY

Tronsmart S89 Standard
Stock ROM
Oman XBMC

I use the remote to go to the STBY mode. My understanding is that the remote will only put the machine in STBY and not completely power it OFF.

When the S89 goes to STBY mode, the red light turns on. However, after a minute or so, the blue light will flash momentarily then go back to red. This happens a few times, and seems to abate after a while, but I'm not sure how long it takes until it stops flashing and stays red.

I have seen reports from other users on this forum that they have experienced this anomaly as well.

1) Is there a fix?
2) Does the Finless ROM 1.5, etc. fix this?

Square box has been fixed, I guess it will be available soon for the Round boxes...

I also tried the the developer mode settings as suggested by some user in other threads, it doesn't help.

btw .. some more observations..
I used a current meter to measure the current in normal and standby mode...
During normal operation, it consumes around 0.6 - 1.x A.
When pressing remote to go to standby mode, it is around 0.6 A
But after a while, it suddenly becomes as low as 50mA. At this moment, I cannot switch it on again through the remote control. I have to press the power button at the back to wake it up.

Maybe it is to less for the IR-receiver?
If I remember correctly, some guy find out, if you are, with the remote control, near to the box, it works...?

after upgrading to 103k firmware, the problem of 'remote control power button cannot wake up the standby device' is solved..

I have the same problem too, where you get this firmware and is it good for Tronsmart S89 elite as well?
when the Zip format will we available?
