anybody experience with 10b g3

hello has anybody tested these tab .

what are the - and + of these tab.

We have a few people with this tab but not that many.
There seems to be some bugs in the firmware and thier also seesm to be a few versions of it out there!

Like Bob said, Arnova has not come out with any firmware updates, but there seems to be 3 different versions cropping up, depending on manufacture date. We have seen 3 different ROM dumps now with progressively different build dates.

Aside from the annoying fact that you can't shut the thing off while plugged in.. It is a pretty good tablet.

With 1gb ram, you don't have the low memory issues like you do on the 10g2, otherwise it's a 10g2 with ICS on it.

One thing I'm disappointed with is that Arnova took away the standard usb port, so you have to have an adapter to plug in a thumb drive. They also moved the camera, power plug, power on button and volume controls around, so any case you get, you have to modify. The speaker moved from the back, around to the right side of the screen. It isn't as good quality as the 10g2 speaker, but it is in front, so it is easier to hear.

I have been testing a Finless ROM with it using the 2nd newest kernel. I had to change a few system settings to access the sd card. Some programs in Google Play don't show as compatible with this device, mainly because the external sd is mapped totally different from gingerbread. Some apks have side loaded ok and worked, like Facebook, but some apks just disappear because they are trying to install to an sd card path that doesn't exist.

I am still using my 10g2 as my goto tab until Bob has time to revamp the latest firmware into a custom ROM.

Of course, if Archos or Arnova would release their source codes on their products like they are supposed to, it would be great if this firmware could be ported to the 10g2. The 1gb of RAM makes a huge difference in performance, though.

One more thing to add about this tab is that the wifi seems quite a bit weaker than the 10g2. I think it's in the firmware though, because it varies depending on which ROM I'm using. Last night I tried the latest stock ROM dump that was posted, and didn't have as much trouble getting an ip address to stick. The other ROM's don't seem to want to stay connected very long. I had to switch back to Bob's test ROM, because you really can't do much without root, or Google Play.

Why are custom bootanimations screens so slow and laggy on this tablet ?

They were on the 10 G2 tabs as well until we converted the file system to EXT4

Looking at the kernel it appears ext4 support is there. Hard to tell though until I try it.

Ok cant wait for a custom rom from you bob with ext4 and 1 gig or 2 gig space for apps
