from what i have read and was told via PM by finless beelink s82/beelink m8 tronsmart vega elite and standard all can use same rom

Correct. Same manufacturer Netxeon. Netxeon is the parent company of beelink. Tronsmart vega s82 & beelink m8 uses 100% same pcb & case.
Just watch the model FW you flash. 16GB vs 8GB
