How to make USB HDD accessible over network?
I wonder how to make the connected USB HDD reachable over network to make the S89 work like a NAS. I replaced my old Boxee that I used to transfer files to from my computer with the S89 and have not been able to copy this setup to my new player. I've tried different ftp servers on the S89 but while I can reach the HDD I can't write to it. Is there any easy way to solve this? Hope you guys can help me.

Thank you for the tip! I am using NTFS and that might be the problem. I tried the software but could not get it working, but I only tried different smb or nfs softwares not ftp - I should try that too. I could not even get the unit visible on the network with smb or nfs. Any tips? Smb/nfs should be easier than ftp I guess since I can map the drive in windows then.

use paragon NTFS to mount your USB HDD (to achieve read/write), then run File Expert HD, and choose My Tools / Share via Ftp. Job's done. But to tell you the truth, the speed was slow.
